Silicon carbide columnar membrane characteristics:


1. The silicon carbide membrane is fired using a recrystallization process at a sintering temperature of 2400°C. During the sintering process, the sintering neck between the silicon carbide aggregates undergoes a phase change process of solid → gas → solid, with an opening rate of over 45%. The formed filtration channel has strong connectivity, coupled with the natural hydrophilicity of silicon carbide material (contact angle is only 0.3°), the pure water flux is as high as 3200LMH, hydrophilic and oleophobic.


2. The isoelectric point of the silicon carbide membrane is near pH 3, and the membrane surface can maintain negative charges in a wide pH range, which improves the pollution resistance of the membrane surface.


3. Excellent chemical stability, can work in extreme environments (pH value 1~14); rich cleaning programs can be formulated according to the characteristics of pollution factors; fully resistant to oxidants, including ozone and hydroxyl radicals.
